February moody sky. Early 2020 brought a long period of snow, more than a foot deep for a month. In good WV fashion, the skies are moody and the sun peaks through.

The Legacy Garden anchors on the west side of the house, but continues across the property, creating punctuations of plantings and views like this snow covered platform on the east side of the house canopied by an ornamental peach tree. Barbara Carter says those white peaches were never any good, and she’s right, but the tree is lovely.
